Abstract

The organic electroluminescent element () of the present invention comprises, on a substrate (), electrodes (positive electrode () and negative electrode ()) forming a pair and an organic functional layer () having at least an electron transport layer () and a light emitting layer (). At least one of the electron transport layer () and the light emitting layer () contain semiconductor nanoparticles having a conduction band energy level of −5.5-−1.5 ev.
