Abstract

The present invention relates to novel analogues of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), pharmaceutical compositions containing said analogues, and the use of said analogues for treatment of IGF-1-receptor mediated conditions, such as short stature, diabetes therapy, neurodegenerative disease treatment, and cartilage repair. More particularly, the present invention relates to novel analogues of IGF-1 having an amino acid substitution at position 59, e.g., (Asn)hIGF-1(1-70)-OH (SEQ ID NO:1), and other substitution(s) as defined herein.
