Abstract
A device for connecting a cable () to an electric component arranged in a housing () comprising a support () and at least one contact member () retained therein. The contact member () has a cutting area () that cuts through the insulation of the cable () and contacts a conductor of the cable. The contact member () further has a contact area () that contacts a conductor arranged in the housing (). The support () is received in an opening of the housing () and the cable () is retained between the support and the housing (). A particular advantage of this solution is that the support which carries the contact members simultaneously fulfills the strain relief function by clamping the cable between itself and the housing.
