Abstract

A web information processing apparatus () displays a screen for designating a program to be associated with a web page and registered if, for example, a registration request is input from a user when the web page is being displayed. Then, information specifying the designated program and information specifying the web page being displayed are linked and registered (). The registered information is used to detect a web page linked to the program being viewed and (if necessary) to display the web page.
