A contact element () provided with an electrical connection element (A), and intended for a superconducting cable unit arranged in a refrigerant, has an electrically conductive plate intended to be borne mechanically by the unit and to be electrically connected to the cable. The plate has through slots (E,E',E″) intended to form thermal conduction baffles.
