Abstract
The present invention provides a process for the preparation of Pd(dba).CHClcomprising the steps of: (a) reacting a Pd(II) complex with an alkali metal halide in at least one alcohol solvent; and (b) reacting the product of step (a) with a mixture comprising dibenzylideneacetone, chloroform and an inorganic base to form Pd(dba).CHCl.
