Abstract

The method of removing() bacteria from an aqueous solution includes the step of mixing multi-walled carbon nanotubes functionalized with a dodecylamine group (CHN) into an aqueous solution containingbacteria. The multi-walled carbon nanotubes functionalized with a dodecylamine group have an antimicrobial effect against thebacteria. The multi-walled carbon nanotubes may be mixed into the aqueous solution at a concentration of between approximately 0.2 g and 0.007 g of multi-walled carbon nanotubes functionalized with a dodecylamine group per 100 ml of the aqueous solution.
