Abstract
A method of reclaiming a head suspension includes detaching a sliderfrom a tongueof the head suspension and removing an adhesiveremaining on the tongue. Removing the adhesiveremaining on the tongueincludes feeding a solvent, which promotes the removal of the adhesive, to a part of the tonguewhere the adhesiveremains and promoting the removal of the remaining adhesivefrom the tongueby applying physical energy to the adhesive remaining part on the tongue. The physical energy is produced by heating, supersonic vibration, and the like. The method easily removes the adhesivefrom the tonguewithout directly applying mechanical force to the tongue, thereby improving yields.
