Abstract
The present invention can easily adjust capacitance of a vacuum capacitor while maintaining a vacuum state in a vacuum chamber of the vacuum capacitor. A fixed electrodeis formed by arranging a plurality of flat electrode membersin layers at a certain distance in an axial direction of a vacuum chamber. A movable electrodeis formed by arranging a plurality of flat electrode membersin layers at a certain distance in the axial direction of the vacuum chamberand fixing the electrode membersto a movable electrode shaft. By rotation of the movable electrode shaft, each electrode memberis inserted into and extracted from a gap between the electrode membersof the fixed electrodein noncontact with the electrode membersof the fixed electrode. A magnetic flux receiving portionis fixed to a seal memberside of a disk memberthat is provided at the movable electrode shaft. A magnetic flux generating unitprovided at a capacitance control unitis arranged in a direction parallel to the movable electrode shaftwith respect to the magnetic flux receiving portion. By rotating the capacitance control unitalso rotating the magnetic flux receiving portionby magnetic attraction of the magnetic flux generating unit, an overlap area of the movable electrodewith respect to the fixed electrodeis changed, capacitance is then adjusted.
