Abstract
A card edge connectorincludes a longitudinal insulating housing, a set of terminalsset in the insulating housingand a lock mechanismfor locking a daughter card. The insulating housinghas an elongated slotand a pair of towerspositioned at two opposite ends thereof. The lock mechanismincludes a locking portionlocking the daughter cardand an operating portionmoving the locking mechanism. A depressionis formed at one end of the lock mechanismclose to the locking portion. The card edge connectorfurther includes a handle columnreceived in the depressionand extending out of the depression. Hence, we can operate the lock mechanismeasily, and at the same time, the room the card edge connector occupies can be reduced.
