Abstract

An object is to provide a peel tester that continuously detects the characteristics of an adhesive tape from the moment an impact is applied to an adherend until the adherend is peeled, and a new method for evaluating the impact peel characteristics of an adhesive tape, which enables quantitative evaluation for the impact peel characteristics by using the test result obtained by the peel tester. Provided is a peel testerwith a main body, to which an adherend I is to be adhered via an adhesive tape III, for performing a peel test by an impact applied to the adherend I, which includes: a load detection devicethat detects change in load applied to the adhesive tape I until the adherend I is peeled off from the main body; and a displacement detection devicethat detects change in moving distance of the adherend I until the adherend I is peeled off from the main body
