Abstract

An aspect of the present invention provides the dibenzothiophene compound expressed by General Formula 1 in Claim. In General Formula 1, Ris either a hydrogen atom or an unsubstituted phenyl group, and Aris any of phenanthrenyl, fluorenyl, triphenylenyl, naphthyl, chrysenyl, and pyrenyl groups. The options for the Arsubstituents, namely the phenanthrenyl, fluorenyl, triphenylenyl, naphthyl, chrysenyl, and pyrenyl groups, may contain at least one of an alkyl group having one to four carbon atoms and an aryl group as a substituent.
