Abstract

The invention provides a touch panel capable of effectively preventing a distortion of an electric potential distribution, thereby increasing an input region of the touch panel. A touch panel including a resistive layer formed on one of surfaces of a substrate and a frame-shaped electrode portionprovided along four sides of the resistive layer, wherein each side of the frame-shaped electrode portionis constituted in a broken line pattern having a first split electrodedisposed on both ends respectively and a plurality of second split electrodesdisposed between the first split electrodes, second resistance values R_i between the second split electrodesare set to be equal to each other, and a first resistance value R_s between the first split electrodeand the second split electrodewhich is adjacent to the first split electrodeis different from the second resistance value R_i.
