Abstract
Avermectin and milbemycin compounds, particularly the substance ivermectin, for preparing an antiviral medicament for the treatment, prevention or amelioration of ainfection, such as those caused by YFV (yellow fever virus), DENV (Dengue virus), JEV (Japanese encephalitis virus), TBEV (tick-borne encephalitis virus) or MODV (Modoc virus) are provided. The antiviral compositions of the present invention are suitable for oral administration to a-infected subject or a subject at risk of a infection, such as a human or other mammal.
