Abstract
By effectively utilizing the beam pattern used at the time of the last communication, a directional link can be efficiently established, thereby reducing overhead. When establishing a link, a communication apparatustransmits a preparation frame by using the last used transmit beam pattern, thereby efficiently establishing a directional link and reducing overhead. Also, when establishing a link, the communication apparatususes the last used receive beam pattern to receive a preparation frame whose transmission timing is known, thereby efficiently establishing a directional link and reducing overhead.
