Abstract
The present invention relates to a recombinanthost cell containing a recombinant vector including a nucleic acid segment having a coding region segment encoding enzymatically active hyaluronan synthase (HAS). The recombinanthost cell is utilized in a method for producing hyaluronic acid (HA).
