Abstract
The present invention relates to a storage compartment for a vehicle interior, comprising a cover () that can be pivoted between a completely closed and a maximally opened position, and a base () that is hidden below in case of the cover () being closed, wherein the cover () may be locked between the completely closed and the maximally opened position at any desired intermediate position, at least within a partial region of a movement tolerance, for holding an object () between the base () and the cover ().
