Abstract

In a wireless communication system which uses a plurality of guard interval lengths, data format of a fixed guard interval length determined at a constant period is placed for the purpose of enabling the determination of the guard interval length with low power consumption and reduction of the reception station's processing load without increasing the reception station's circuit scale. In addition, in the timing at which this fixed guard interval length placement information is placed, variable guard interval length placement information is multiplexed to a channel for data transmission and transmitted.
