Abstract

A front terminal plate () that is joined to a fuel cell unit () at the front end of a fuel cell stack has a metal-plating layer () formed on the side to be joined to the fuel cell unit (). The metal-plating layer () is formed so as to cover the surface of a plate (), and the surface of the metal-plating layer () is flat. The thickness of the metal-plating layer () in an electrode-facing region () that faces an electrode region of the fuel cell unit () is different from the thickness of the metal-plating layer () in a peripheral region () that surrounds the electrode-facing region (), and the thickness of the metal-plating layer () in the peripheral region () is larger than the thickness of the metal-plating layer () in the electrode-facing region ().
