Abstract
A radially outer stationary bearing race () defines, on one if its sides, an inner cylindrical surface () and a radial side surface (). A radially inner bearing race () has an outer cylindrical surface () facing the inner cylindrical surface (). A magnetic encoder () in form of an annular disc is fixed onto the outer cylindrical surface () of the inner race () and is protected by a cover of non-ferromagnetic material () mounted on the outer race () and abutting against the radial side surface ().
