To improve a workability in assembling and disassembling of parts of a lighting device. A backlight unitincludes an LED boardhaving LEDs, a chassis, a light guide memberhaving an end portion arranged to face the LEDs, a power supply boardarranged outside the chassisand supplying drive power to the LEDs, and a connectormounted to the chassisand supplying power between the power supply boardand the LEDs.
