Abstract

Disclosed is a parking lock mechanism of a power transmission apparatus which can stably supply lubrication oil to the sliding surface of a parking cam to decrease the sliding resistance of the parking cam. The parking lock mechanismincludes a support portionfor positioning a sleevewith respect to an extension housing, and a first guide ribprovided on the support portionfor catching oil circulating in a transaxle caseto supply the oil to the support portion. The sleevehas an upper portion formed with a notchfor allowing a parking pawlto be held in abutment with a parking cam. The oil caught by the first guide ribis supplied through the support portionand the notchof the sleeveto the sliding surface of the parking cam, viz., the sliding surface between the parking pawland the parking camand the sliding surface between the parking camand the sleeve
