Abstract
A combined line termination arrangement () for an access system supporting broadband transmission mode and narrowband transmission mode, the combined line termination arrangement () comprising a common interface device () having a common port () for receiving or transmitting a signal in said transmission modes and being connected to a first line termination (LT) and a second line termination (LT). The common interface device further comprises switching means () for selectively connecting, by switching combinations, the first line termination (LT), the second line termination (LT) and auxiliary sources of broadband or narrowband transmission modes.
