Abstract

An object is to provide a permanent magnet motor that highly reduces torque fluctuation, thereby reducing noise and vibration. The permanent magnet motor may be formed as follows: a length D of a permanent magnetin a longitudinal direction is the same as or longer than a width A between sides of the magnetic pole toothin the circumferential direction in an end portion of the magnetic pole tooth, and a distance C between tip portions of a pair of the first slitsandwithin the same pole is smaller than the width A between the sides of the magnetic pole toothin the circumferential direction in the end portion of the magnetic pole tooth. The permanent magnet motor, thus formed, may be characterized in that cut surfacesface the first slitsand
