Abstract
The present invention relates a sheet feeding apparatus with a lifting and lowering mechanism in a sheet deck, which includes abutting portionstowhich makes wire hanging portionstoof a sheet stacking tableabut thereon and makes the sheet stacking tablelockable with respect to a storing portion. The mechanism also includes a pulse motorand a one-way clutch. A controllerdrives the pulse motorto be rotated in a lifting direction of the sheet stacking table, further drives the pulse motorto be rotated in the same direction even after the wire hanging portionstoabut on the abutting portionstoto cause the pulse motorto step out, and renders the pulse motornon-conductive. Thus, the wire hanging portions is locked to abut on the abutting portions.
