Abstract
The present disclosure provides in vitro methods of diagnosing ainfection in a subject. The methods include measuring the serum concentration of at least one secreted phospholipase Aselected from the group consisting of GIIF, GV and GX sPLAs, in a blood sample from the subject. The disclosure also relates to a kit for carrying out the disclosed methods and pharmaceutical compositions comprising a recombinant mammalian GIIF, GV or GX sPLA, or a combination thereof.
