Abstract
In one embodiment now described, and according to one aspect of the invention. There is provided a leg rest mechanism. The leg rest mechanism is suitable for use with a seat padof a seat arrangementin a passenger vehicle (not shown). The leg rest mechanismcomprises a support memberadapted for at least partially supporting a passenger's weight; and an extension arrangement. The extension arrangementcomprises a pair of horizontal support mechanismsfor supporting the support member, an adjustable support mechanismand a drive arrangement. The support memberis moveable between a stowed position in which it is stowable under the seat padof the passenger vehicle seat arrangement, an intermediate position up to which the support membercan be adjustably supported; and wherein the support member is moveable directly from its intermediate position to an extended position in which the support membercooperates with the seat pad to defines a substantially horizontal surface on which a passenger is supportable.
