Abstract
A ball screw (), having a threaded spindle () which is mounted in a rolling fashion by balls () on a threaded nut () and which is supported on an axial bearing (), wherein the threaded spindle () is axially supported with its first bearing surface (), which is convexly shaped with a radius of curvature (R), on a preferably conically designed second bearing surface (), wherein the first bearing surface () and the second bearing surface () make contact with one another along a contact path (), wherein a quotient formed from the ratio of the radius of curvature (R) to the radius (R) of the contact path () assumes values of between 1.2 and 2.4 inclusive.
