The present invention relates to a cleaning composition for removing cellular components from tissue for transplantation derived from humans and animals. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cleaning composition for treating tissue for transplantation comprising a polyoxyethyleneglycol C-Calkyl ether as a first protein solubilizing component, a C-Calkylphenol polyethoxylate as a first lipid solubilizing component, a C-Calkyl glycoside as a second protein solubilizing component and a C-Calkylphenoxy polyethoxy ethanol as a second lipid solubilizing component.
