Abstract

A burner includes a housing, an intake pipeand a burner head. Gas in the housingis supplied to the burner headthrough the intake pipe. An electric wireextends through the intake pipewhich connects a piezoelectric elementto a core wirefrom which electric discharge is generated near burner portsof the burner headby the piezoelectric element. Since the wireis not exposed to outside the intake pipe, the wireis never caught and damaged by an external object. Since air-gas mixture which is kept at around the room temperature is flowing through the intake pipe, the wireis less likely to overheat during use of the burner. Thus, it is not necessary to provide the wirewith a shield plate for protecting the wire
