A system a method for managing diagnostic sessions in a communication network includes a first step () of determining presence information of at least one mobile station. A next step () includes estimating a usage probability of the at least one mobile station based on the presence information. A next step () includes implementing a Diagnostic Management session in response to the usage probability.
