Abstract

The invention relates to a scheduling of data transmissions in multi-carrier data transmission systems, e.g. multi-carrier W-CDMA systems. A method embodiment of performing one or more data transmissions in a multi-carrier data transmission network () comprises, in a transmitting device (), the steps of requesting transmission resources from a resource granting device (); receiving, in response to the request (), one or more transmission grants (gr-gr) from the resource granting device (), wherein each transmission grant (gr) indicates a data rate (dr) and a data class (CI) granted for a specific transmission carrier (Cr); and initiating one or more transmissions (-) of data associated with one or more of the granted data classes on one or more of the granted transmission carriers.
