Abstract
Anhydrous sunscreen compositions that include a volatile solvent, an organic UV-filter dissolved in the volatile solvent, a water-insoluble, low-volatility, C-C, liquid silicone dissolved in the volatile solvent, a branched fatty acid ester of a polyprotic carboxylic acid dissolved in the volatile solvent, and a film-forming polymer, where the branched fatty acid ester of a polyprotic carboxylic acid and the water-insoluble, low-volatility, C-C, liquid silicone are present in a ratio from about 3:1 to 4.25:1.
