Abstract
An image display system includes: display unit () for spatially combining a first polarized image generated by first polarized light and a second polarized image generated by second polarized light having a polarized light component different from that of the first polarized light and displaying a combined polarized image; display control unit () for causing display unit () to multiplex-display a plurality of different images in a time division manner concerning each of the first and second polarized images; and optical shutter () that selectively transmits only a polarized image corresponding to a selected image arbitrarily selected from among the plurality of different images.
