Abstract
An identification tag () is provided which comprises a first body portion (), a second body portion () and a web portion () located between the first and second body portions (). The web portion () permits the second body portion () to be pivoted relative to the first body portion (). The tag () further comprises a drive member () projecting from the first body portion (). The drive member () has a drive surface () adapted to be driven, in use, by a tag loading mechanism of a tag applicator. A lock () is also provided on the tag () to lock the free ends of the first and second body portions () together after application. The drive member () may also include a fixing surface () for fixing the second body portion () at a chosen angle relative to the first body portion () prior to application of the tag () to an item.
