Abstract

Provided is a reactor having a small size with consideration of loss reduction. A reactorA includes a coiland a magnetic core. The coilis formed by winding a wire. The magnetic coreincludes an internal core portionthat is inserted through the coiland a couple core portionthat is coupled to an end of the internal core portionand that covers an outer periphery of the coil. The core portionsandform a closed magnetic path. An interposed core portionis disposed between the coiland the internal core portion. The reactorA satisfies 0<S/S<0.15, where Sis an inner cross-sectional area of the coiland Sis a cross-sectional area of the interposed core portion; and satisfies B>Band B>B, where Bis a saturation magnetic flux density of the internal core portion, Bis a saturation magnetic flux density of the couple core portion, and Bis a saturation magnetic flux density of the interposed core portion
