Abstract
It is an object of the present invention to provide a cell culture carrier for producing a cell sheet that can be readily detached from a cell culture carrier and is inhibited from contracting after being detached. The cell culture carrierof the present invention comprises: a support-held culture membranecomprising an organic thin filmhaving cell adhesion properties and biodegradability and a frame-like supportfixed on the periphery of the organic thin film for maintaining the dimensions of the organic thin film; and a base substratehaving a surfacewith a static water contact angle of 45° or less, wherein the support-held culture membraneis detachably placed on the surfaceof the base substrate.
