Abstract
The invention comprises an apparatusand a methodfor purifying biomolecules. Magnetizable particlesand a group of magnetizable pinsare used for binding biomoleculesto the magnetizable particlesusing a binding buffer, and for transferring the magnetizable particlesforming a particle-biomolecule complex. The apparatuscomprises an incubation unitthat allows for an upscaling of a maximum volume of a sample material. Furthermore the apparatuscomprises counter magnetswhich are arranged on cavities. Solutionscomprising the biomoleculesand the magnetizable particlesare disposed in the cavities. The use of counter magnetsimproves the quality of an eluate. Furthermore the invention comprises a systemand a methodfor a diagnostically purifying of biomolecules. The methodfurther comprises a controlling of method steps and a selection of substances and reagents (for example the magnetizable particles) based on information automatically collected from, for example, the samples and/or derived from used substances and reagents. The systemfulfills requirements of medical diagnostics.
