Abstract
A liquid crystal display device of a high image quality is provided in which occurrence of a leakage current between pixel electrodes is prevented. A liquid crystal display device of the present invention has a plurality of pixels, including a first pixeland a second pixelwhich are side by side along the first direction. The liquid crystal display device includes: a first substratewhich includes a first electrodeprovided in the first pixeland a second electrodeprovided in the second pixel; a second substratewhich is arranged so as to oppose the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layerinterposed between the first substrateand the second substrate. The first electrodeincludes a plurality of first branch portionsextending toward the second pixel. The second electrodeincludes a plurality of second branch portionsextending toward the first pixelside. When viewed along the first direction, at least part of the end portions of the plurality of first branch portionsfaces to a gap between end portions of two of the plurality of second branch portions
