Abstract
The present invention relates to a method of forming an implantable medical device comprising: culturing polymer-producing bacteria preferablyin the presence of a degradable support; and removing the degradable support to recover an implant having pores of a configuration determined at least in part by the configuration of the degradable support. The invention also relates to a medical device obtained by such a method.
