A fork light barrier (), provided with at least one first, one second, and one third light sensor (FTto FT), which are arranged along an axis (X), wherein the second light sensor (FT) lies between the first light sensor (FT) and the third light sensor (FT). The fork light barrier is advantageously incorporated into a position determining device and/or method.
