Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device, wherein u'and v′, u′and v′, and u′and v′satisfy following expressions (1), (2) and (3): wherein u′and v′are hues in a black state observed in a front direction; u′and v′are maximum values of u′ and v′ in a black state among values observed in directions with an azimuth angle ranging from 0° to 360° and a polar angle of 60°; and u′and v′are minimum values of u′ and v′ in a black state among values observed in directions with an azimuth angle ranging from 0° to 360° and a polar angle of 60°.
