Abstract

When a user specifies a road that he/she wants to pass through, a guiding route generation device generates a guiding route that passes through the specified road up to a destination. A guiding route () generated based on waypoints specified is stored in a storage device () of the guiding route generation device. A display device () displays the guiding route () along with roads in the periphery. The guiding route generation device specifies a certain road as the specified pass-through road from among the roads displayed along with the guiding route (), and further, finds and determines whether there are crossings and the number of the crossings between the specified pass-through road and the guiding route ().
