Abstract

A wavelength conversion particleused for a wavelength conversion memberis provided with a moth-eye structure sectionhaving a fine concavo-convex structure in the side of a surface of a fluorescent particle, and the fine concavo-convex structure is formed in fluorescent particleitself. Wavelength conversion memberis formed by dispersing wave-length conversion particle(s)into a translucent mediumhaving a smaller refraction index than fluorescent particleof wavelength conver-sion particle. Wavelength conversion memberis further provided with an antireflection sectionin the side of the surface of fluorescent particle. Antireflection sectioncomprises moth-eye structure sectionand translucent mediumentered between taper-shaped fine projectionsof moth-eye structure section. In a light emitting device, wavelength conversion memberis used as a color conversion member converting a part of light emitted from a LED chipinto light having a longer wave-length than the light emitted from LED chipand emitting the converted light.
