Abstract
The invention relates to a damper (') for furniture, especially hinges, comprising a housing (′) in which a piston (′) is connected to a piston rod (′) and can be displaced. A fluid flows through at least one flow channel (′) on or in the piston (′) during a movement of the piston (′) inside the housing (′), the movement of the piston (′) resulting in a different damping power in different directions. The cross-section of the flow channel can be modified in some sections on at least one groove (′) by moving a plate (′) relative to the piston (′). On the at least one groove (′), a substantially funnel-shaped outlet (′) and/or the groove (′) have a section which is arranged at an angle to the radial direction to avoid cavitation.
