The present invention relates to an automatic elastomer extrusion apparatus and method. An apparatusfor in-situ extrusion of an elastomeric coatingon a profiled helical surfacecan include a template () forming a gap between the profiled helical surfaceand an adjacent profiled helical surface () of a template () itself to extrude an elastomer therethrough.
