Abstract
A portable wireless device and a wireless communication method, which can transmit and receive wireless signal without affecting influence from metallic part that is included in an expandable mechanism, are provided. In the portable wireless device taking two statuses of an expanded status in which an upper housingand a lower housingare arranged approximately in series and a contracted status in which the upper housingand the lower housingare overlapped each other, at least a part of rotating mechanismwhich makes the expanded status and the contracted status variable is formed of metal, and the metal part of rotating mechanismoperates as an antenna.
