Abstract
Provided is an electromagnetic contactor () which transmits an attraction movement of a movable core () of an electromagnet (), via a drive lever (), to a movable contact support () that is movable in parallel with the movable core (), wherein an urging portion () for applying an urging force to the movable core () is provided such that the movable core () is held at a movable core initial position which is apart from a fixed core () and does not allow engagement with the movable contact support ().
