Abstract
A dispensing closure () for dispensing a product from a container () includes a cup base () and a measuring cup (). The cup base () has an inner skirt () configured and arranged to engage a neck () of the container () and the measuring cup (). An outer skirt () of the cup base () has at least one or more latch hook members (A,B) to engage the measuring cup (). The outer skirt () has at least one or more latch hook areas (A,B) configured to disengage the at least one or more latch hook members (A,B). The measuring cup () has a stepped shoulder (A) for engaging the at least one or more latch hook members (A,B) of the cup base (). In operation, a force is applied to the one or more latch hook areas (A,B) to disengage the one or more latch hook members (A,B) from the stepped shoulder (A) which permits removal of the measuring cup () from the cup base ().
