Abstract
A zoom lens includes: a first lens group having negative refractive power; a diaphragm; a second lens group having positive refractive power; a third lens group having negative refractive power; and a fourth lens group having positive refractive power, arranged in order from an object side. The first lens group is configured by at least one negative lens and one positive lens. The third lens group is configured by one negative lens. Then power is changed from a wide angle end state to a telephoto end state, the first, second, and third lens groups are moved in the direction of an optical axis, and the fourth lens group is fixed. When focusing, the third lens group is moved in the direction of the optical axis so as to satisfy the following Conditional Equations,−2.8<3/<−0.5  (1)2.0<4/<15.0  (2).
